Nokia Windows Phone 7

Microsoft ve Nokia ortaklığının ilk meyvelerini görmeye başlıyoruz. Nokia Windows Phone 7 işletim sistemli telefonlar üreteceğini duyurdu. Mobil dünyadaki diğer firmalarla olan amansız mücadelede Nokia, geleceği olan ve mobil telefonların gelişmine de yardımcı olacak bir adım atmış oldu. Nokia'nın şimdiye kadar telefonlarında kullandığı Sambian yazılımlı telefonları artık apple ve android kullanan cihazlar ile başedemeyecek duruma geldiği herkes tarafından anlaşıldı. Anlaşma ile birilikte iki firmanın benzer servisleri birleştirilme yoluna gidilecek. Nokia  yeni telefonlarında Microsoft'un bing arama motorunu kullanacak.

Nokia N8 Tips and Tricks

Nokia N8 is the first released smartphone to run Symbian^3, but strongly resembles earlier versions of the operating system. The main reason is the fact that Nokia didn’t have the time and, probably the spare resources, to start a new OS from the scratch. Basically, Nokia engineers worked on the Symbian^1 platform adding new features and enhancements, making it faster and more eye-candy.

The advantages of using a capacitive touchscreen leaded to some functionality improvements, like skipping some unnecessary steps to access a certain setting.

Besides the fact that you are forced to make multiple clicks to open a new link in the web browser, or to simply write a text with the virtual QWERTY keyboard, some settings have been changed and require some knowledge about the Symbian^3, which only comes in time.
