Google's Nexus One, which the company stopped selling some seven months after its debut, has been called a "failed experiment."

So could there be a Nexus Two on the way?

There are rumors that Samsung will be unveiling a Nexus Two smartphone (also known as the "Nexus S") on November 8.

Citing an "industry source," City A.M. wrote, "The second Google-branded mobile phone will hit the UK in time for Christmas through an exclusive deal with Carphone Warehouse." The source suggested that the Nexus Two would be running Gingerbread, the newest version of Android.

AndroidAndMe.com said "multiple, trusted sources familiar with the project" report Google and Samsung will unveil a Nexus Two that will be the "first device to ship with stock Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and it will be available soon on multiple carriers."

Gizmodo also claims to have a source that has handled the forthcoming phone. The alleged Nexus Two is said to resemble the Galaxy S. Gizmodo writes,
While the screen, which our source thinks is the same 4-inch AMOLED affair from the Galaxy series, is flat, the front is "sort of concave" with hard edges. And the back is curved. The tapering makes it feel thinner than Galaxy S, though it might be about the same thickness. "It feels really similar to the Galaxy S in a lot ways."
